I really love this sort of geo-local ambient awareness, a monitor of regular lives.
I was pretty crushed when Eddystone unshipped on Android. The idea of people on the bus sharing their top 5 artists of the past week, or three recent favorite articles was such a cool future. We've somewhat steadfastedly left connectivity in the old hub and spoke provider model, failed to internetwork among ourselves, eskewed ad-hoc connection, but the world is following.of such richness & I wish we had means to share some of what sparks joy, to be radiant beings sharing outwards, and I remain ever hopeful for this future, this future of each other.
Eddystone sounds like a good futuristic concept of engaging with social neighbours everywhere. I think they might have been before their time then. I never heard of the project myself until now.
